Radio Free Asia interviewed with a professor: he said, Khmer ler is the origin of Cambodian people. Khmer ler has invented metal, bronze, and silver, so Cambodian people could use them as tool or weapon. Khmer ler has helped Khmer people to become power in 12th century during Angkor empire. Now Khmer ler is faced execution by Hun Sen and other Khmer people. He said, during Angkor empire, Khmer people and Khmer ler has protected honest and dignity.
When Chinese, Vietnamese, and Thai, came to settle in Cambodia during 14th century, they taught Khmer people about corruption and lie. Then Chinese, Vietnamese, and Thai were using their knowledge to mastermind Khmer people to fight each other. This lead to
Angkor empire collapsed when Thai used Khmer Surin and Thai soldiers to invade Cambodia around 15th century.
